The two devices are basically similar with some minor differences, for example the Pro XL version has a bigger screen and a bigger battery capacity. In the following, you will read more detailed specifications:

Design and Size

Pixel Pro phones come in two sizes. The Pixel 9 Pro has a 6.3-inch display and the Pro XL has a 6.8-inch display. The panel of both devices is called Super Actual and uses a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This series has little changes compared to the Pixel 9 but we can mention Google's special attention on the camera part. Hardware and Software

Both devices come with the new Tensor G4 processor which can run Gemini Nano with complex functionality on the device itself. It means that the Pixel 9 Pro can understand text, images and sound with the help of artificial intelligence. The device's processor is also paired with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. Pixel 9Pro and 9Pro XL support Android 14 and Google promises to provide 7 years of operating system updates for them.

Battery Life

One of the standout features of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL is their enhanced battery capacity. The Pro version has a 4700 mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL uses a 5060 mAh battery. For the first time, Google has introduced 45W fast charging in the Pixel series which allows users to charge their devices up to 70% in just 30 minutes.

AI Features and Satellite Calling

These flagship phones come with AI capabilities such as Gemini Live, which allows you to carry out your conversations with the help of an advanced voice assistant. There is another image editing feature called Pixel Studio, which is exclusive to the Pixel 9 series and supports the Imagen3 model. The groundbreaking specification of Google's new phones is the ability to make emergency calls to satellites right from the start. You can connect to low-orbit satellites and communicate with emergency services in areas where there is no antenna coverage. For the first two years, this feature will be available at no additional cost.

Camera

We see the same specifications in the camera section. Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL have a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with the ability to shoot videos with 20x zoom. Their selfie camera is also a 42-megapixel sensor.
